Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) South Australia deputy commissioner Janice Silby says a mentor in her early career challenged her to step out of her comfort zone and develop a taste for constantly challenging and extending herself at work. On top of her deputy commissioner role, DVA’s Silby is also the assistant secretary for income support.
