Service centres and phone lines providing Centrelink, Medicare and Child Support services will be shut on Monday April 25, Anzac Day.
Self-service option will continue to be available, according to Services Australia general manager Hank Jongen.
Jongen encouraged people to use the Express Plus mobile apps, labelling them as the easiest way to do business with Services Australia.
“I encourage people to check their reporting dates on our website, through their Centrelink online accounts or via phone self-service,” said Jongen.
“There are no changes to Child Support arrangements; however, payments made after Thursday 14 April may be delayed by public holidays.
Medicare benefits can still be claimed at a doctor’s office or using self-service channels. Critical services such as organ donorship and PBS authorities remain available.
Similar rules were in place over the Easter holiday period.
