I’m supposed to be writing a light-hearted article about Canberra and how we hop and skip about the caretaker conventions – what we can and can’t do – but I’ve just spent a weekend with bright 20-somethings, other people’s young adults, outside of Canberra and they have left my heart feeling anything but light.

While we in Canberra focus on caretaker conventions, the rest of the country experiences the pre-election frenzy, bombarded across all platforms with political messaging and visuals.
