Greens senator Larissa Waters shares her party’s plans to remove unnecessary constitutional shackles on public servants who want to participate in Australian politics.

Speaking to The Mandarin, Waters outlined her party’s policy for empowering the public sector to deliver better government services, receive fairer pay and even enter politics. It is a vision she describes as more sensible than the current state of play, which radically sees today’s APS employees hindered from doing their jobs well.

One of the top-level goals of the political party is to free public servants to run for political office, and grant more freedom to those who wish to express their political views.
