While Reconciliation Action Plans have until now been designed for institutions, the New South Wales Department of Planning, Industry and Environment has launched what it says is Australia’s first RAP tied to Country and traditional owners.

Since its launch in 2006 under the purview of Reconciliation Australia, the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) framework has evolved to provide organisations with four structured approaches to advancing reconciliation — Reflect, Innovate, Stretch, and Elevate.
